We’ll Miss you Sage
In November of last year, my good friend Sage Millard passed away from pneumonia, which may or may not have been related to H1N1. I knew and worked closely with Sage for many years, and spent my final months in Asheville, NC sharing an office with him, collaborating on screenprinting projects.
Sage was an incredibly talented printer, having learned his craft on the job via trial and error. Always up for meeting people, Sage was surrounded by many friends and always seemed eager to learn about the lives of others and share his positive outlook on life.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this guy. He has affected my life deeply and helped me realize that the hangups folks have in life really just don’t make a damn bit of difference, because we will soon have it all taken away from us. Sage left us way too early and that’s what stings the most. Rest in peace, buddy…

I am an illustrator & screenprinter living in Winston-Salem, NC. I have been working for 14 years, and my designs have won recognition both nationally and internationally. Currently I am serving as Art Director at Revi Technical Wear, where we design and produce all manner of clothing, including bicycle jerseys, Nascar teamwear and more. Final artwork can be delivered digitally via FTP or e-mail, but most projects begin simply, with tons of thumbnails from my yellow #2 pencil and fine point Sharpie.
